Theatrical Cut (Initial Reaction).

Grade: 4/10.

Review: This edition had its moments but it's plot was very incoherent and difficult to understand. The first 2 acts were very boring. When I saw this in theaters, I took about 2 bathroom breaks. The characters motivations were very difficult to understand. Why was Batman angry at Superman? Why did Lex Luther want Superman to fight? However, this movie wasn't totally bad. The fight scene between Batman and Superman was amazing. The fight scene between Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman was very exciting. The edition visually looked amazing. Fortunately, none of the acting was terrible. I give this movie a 4/10.

Extended Cut (Second and Third Watch, Current Opinion).

Grade: 8/10.

Review: This cut felts like a totally different movie than the theatrical cut. This edition was surprisingly well done. The story was told in a very creative way. Batman lost his parents and also lost many of his workers in the battle between Superman and General Zod. Lux Luther also manipulated him into believing that Superman was a terrible person out to kill everyone. Superman, at first, though Batman was a merciless vigilante. Then he realized that Lux Luther has been tricking them so they can fight so he could rise to power. This edition is also filled with emotion scenes. For example, when he found out that Superman's mother, Martha was trapped, Batman become sad and eventually realized that Superman had a sense of humanity. He didn't want Superman to lose his mother just like Batman lost his. The opening scene that showed Batman's parent's execution was also depressing. Superman's funeral was also very sad, motivating Batman to find the metahumans to not only avenge Superman's death but to save the world from further destruction. I give this edition an 8/10.

In conclusion, I am only grading the ultimate cut. My second and third viewing will override my first viewing. I think this movie was great. I give this movie an 8/10.
