Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Thrall T — 24 Oct 2016
In the D.C. universe of superheroes and villains, two have always stood out: Batman and Superman, and now D.C. has pit them in a fight against each other. Batman(Ben Affleck) believes that Superman(Henry Cavill) must pay for the people that died during the events of Man of Steel, so he becomes hell bent on taking him down(they do a training montage and everything).
Lex Luthor(Jesse Eisenberg) captures Superman's mom(Diane Lane) and says he will kill her if Superman doesn't kill Batman. Batman is waiting for Superman and they get into a fist fight(?) and Batman uses kryptonite weaponry to bring Superman to the ground(Superman was pulling his punches).
Then superman tells Batman his mom's name, and Batman has a psychological breakdown and goes and rescues Superman's mom, while Superman confronts Luthor, who used resurrecting technology to create Doomsday, and Superman fights it alongside Batman and Wonder Woman(Gal Gadot) eventually killing Doomsday with the kryptonite weaponry Batman had brought, and Superman dies.
The movie has so many holes it is not funny, so I am only going to list one: Superman can literally do everything. Think of almost any better solution and he could have done it. The good thing about this movie is that it introduces all of the Justice League members for the new Justice League movie coming out soon.
My recommendation to see this movie varies on your knowledge of the Justice League, because it is basicly a 3 hour Justice League trailer.
