Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice review. I can't help but be pulled into the DC vs Marvel debate. DC has allowed their products to be turned into some amazing movies in the past - the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy is incredible.

But Marvel has created a universe of integrated characters that are just so enjoyable to watch. They have changed superhero movies forever. So with Batman vs Superman this is the chance for the DC characters to start meeting up and for us to see how this is going to work.

Marvel is always big, entertaining and filled with comedic moments. DC seems to be going down the darker, grittier path to try to differentiate themselves. I think that is a really good plan. So this movie starts with some wonderful cinematography, is exciting every time you see a new character development and has some pretty cool action sequences.

On the other hand it spends too much time in flashbacks and dreams, has so little dialogue that you never feel you truly know the characters, made some strange character choices, is emotionally sequenced all out of order and has a really bad music score.

I came out of the movie thinking the movie was okay. It has enjoyable moments but I was disappointed that it wasn't what it could have been. It had all the ingredients of a great superhero movie but was just poorly put together.

It feels like the editors were rushed at the last minute (which they weren't) and the director just didn't quite know how to create the emotion he was wanting in certain scenes. If you were planning on seeing this movie no doubt you still will.

It is wonderful to see Batman and Superman together finally. But if you are holding out for something incredible you may need to wait for XMen Apocalypse, or Suicide Squad, or Dr Strange, or Civil War or.
