Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Ronnie N — 24 Jan 2017
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just a complete disappointment that DC fans can enjoy. I was expecting this to be one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, but turns out, it was mediocre and a complete mess.
Despite the excellent performances by Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, nice visual effects, good musical score and intense action scenes, they failed to save the movie from its unfocused yet messy plot, too many subplots, overuse of slow-motion and shaky camera, lack of humour, bland, forgettable and underdeveloped characters and Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eisenberg (the worst casting choice for Lex Luthor ever) is totally ridiculous and unnecessarily over the top.
Even worse, they almost made him a Joker rip-off! Well, I think It should be the best to save your money and stick to the Batman and Superman comics entirely, as well as sticking to the previous Batman and Superman films released in the past.
If you really want to watch it, just give it a rent, okay? It's not the worst superhero movie ever made, it did serve some of the notes right, but I still don't think it's that good, some of the notes they done right can't save the film from being heavily flawed as it can get.
2 out of 5 stars.
