Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Mike B — 23 Mar 2017

Wow. I think I went way too easy on this movie when I saw it in theaters. All I can say is that this movie is a choppy, sloppy, and poorly structured mess. I don't hate it as much as everyone else since there are some things I like about like the cast, except for Jesse Eisenburg, the visuals, the action, and the Superman scenes because of how they make me wish I was watching Man of Steel 2 and not this mess.

But it does deserve alot of hate for what it gets. The characters are derailed and out of character, the villain is a joke with little to no motivation and his behavior is out of place for the dark tone, there's little to no action until the last act since how it has more political scenes, making it boring, it looks and feels like Zach Snyder is stealing multiple film making styles from George Lucas, Micheal Bay, and Christopher Nolan, it's filled with scenes like they're like different movies in one, the writing is nonsensical, it's a stab to the heart to the source material, and it includes one of the most frustrating climaxes of all time.

It's like the movie is trying to be like Batman vs Superman, Man of Steel 2, The Death of Superman, a new Batman movie, and Justice League. But a movie called, Batman v Superman is supposed to have Batman vs Superman, which is more than enough.

If you want to watch the ultimate superhero clash of the titans, stick with Captain America; Civil War.
