Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Dconroy — 27 Mar 2016
Middle of the road at best. First half is ok, climactic battle is riddled with major problems. Affleck is much better as Batman than many gave him credit to be. Jeremy Irons as Alfred is good but underused.
Lex Luthor's motivations are sketchy at best. There's major, major plot hole during the end battle that pretty much sealed it for me. Wanted to like this but can't. We had to go see another movie just after this to remove the aftertaste.
Other reviewers have said its worse than Batman and Robin, but lets be realistic...nothing is worse than that movie. But, clearly, I don't think Zack Snyder has ever seen a Batman movie, comic, or animated film before, he clearly doesn't know the character.
