Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Joseph S — 31 Dec 2018

The extended edition is where its at. It was far superior to the theatrical release. I enjoyed watching this film, I for one don't mind a somewhat dark movie, not everything is flowers and butterflies, so why should we have nothing but light tones with jokes out the wazoo.

I for one was glad they didn't have a thousand and one jokes like Marvel does in its movies. The Lex Luthor that is portrayed in this film needs work though, I am so used to seeing a Lex like the one we had back in the WB's DCAU days, or the Lex from Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman, the one in the movie is too young, and too weird for me.

this could have been solved by getting a different actor but what do I know. Overall I actually enjoyed the film and am surprised with all the negative reviews I saw for it.
