Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Joss R — 15 Jun 2017
Is this film as good as it could & should've been? No. Is this film total shit? No. This is not the film it should be, but it's far from a disaster. Affleck makes for an intense, tormented Caped Crusader & really excels in the role, the action is top notch & Irons as Alfred is impeccable casting.
Cavill is perhaps most disappointing here, as his emotionless acting did nothing to make me mourn Superman's death in the final battle. Gadot is fab as Wonder Women, and it's tied in nicely with Man of Steel.
Sure theres a lot of improvements that were needed; and Snyder's directorial style isn't for everyone.. but this is a step in the right direction for DC. It's biggest flaw is perhaps the total lack of humour.
