I don't know what makes Batman translate better to animation than other comic book heroes, but there is just something about most of the Batman cartoons/animated movies that just works.
This particular movie is far better than most of the straight to DVD superhero movies, and in fact stands up with the classic 1990's Batman series.
Its good stuff.
