Review of Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) by Jérôme B — 24 Mar 2011
A solid, if greatly flawed DTV animated film from DC. Like all of these films, it is far too short, and the integration of computer animation into the mostly traditional animation is sloppy. The film is also trying too hard to impress us with its awkward use of swear words and a completely superfluous sex scene between two characters who have nothing to do with anything.
Still, a mostly entertaining superhero tale that manages to at least be better than the horrible comic book it's based on. It's no Mask of the Phantasm, but it's no Gotham Knight, either.
