Of all the animated shows/movies about superheros, none seem to be given the care of the Batman series, and this 75-minute film is a perfect example. Excellent voice actors/actresses bring the characters we've come to love/fear to life in this riveting tale of a hero gone rogue. Many are far more in touch with the mythology of the Batman series, so I hope they fogive me for sounding amateur, but the story begins with the Joker literally beating the living crap out of Robin, who is Jason Todd under the mask. Batman arrives too late and *spoiler alert* Robin is killed.

Five years later a new criminal is making a name for himself but, strangely enough, crime seems to be decreasing. Someone under the guise of The Red Hood is quickly bringing the criminal world under control through fear. Batman encounters The Red Hood and begins to think he's all too familiar, not because of his title (which several villains, Joker included, have used), but because of his fighting style.

What happens from there is an action-packed and highly entertaining film about Batman trying to right his greatest mistake while still keeping himself from becoming the very thing he fights to bring down.

Every Batman fan should see this and even casual fans are sure to find this a thrilling tale. Highly recommended.
