Review of Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) by Tomatoe T — 08 Jun 2011
Arguably one of the best Batman animated movies. Not for kids, but for fantatics or anybody who enjoys a bit of action. It's subliminal messages of ethics are fanastically portrayed, and Batman proves once again his chemistry with the Joker is screen-worthy. Although the famous duo of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were not present, their replacements gave a different edge that perhaps will represent the future generation of Batman and Joker's voice acting. The rest of the voice acting was amazing, and I particularily enjoyed Neil Patrick Harris. His charm was transmited to his character, Nightwing. The plot did not stop for a moment; it kept you thinking and moving alongside the one-liners and on-going conversations between characters. The animation fitted the very mature plot, and kept it as realistic as can be.
Hopefully DC will contiune with movies such as this.
