Review of Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) by Eric B — 15 Jun 2014
It takes the best from new Batman and old Batman, artistically it looks like batman the animated series which is what I grew up watching, it was nice to see, the voice acting is terrific, Bruce Greenwood is the second best Batman I've ever heard, (first is Kevin Conroy), John DiMaggio was great as well, although his voice is a bit rougher than I like for Joker, but he had the laugh down, Joker was even more sadistic in this than he was in The Dark Knight, he is no longer a laughing lunatic that will try to make you smile.
Jensen Ackles as The Red Hood was exactly what I would imagine robin/red hood sounding like. Neil Patrick Harris was perfect for Dick(Nightwing) light hearted and witty. the story was heart wrenching, fast-paced, and action packed, and in the final scene you see what makes Batman who he is, I would recommend this to any Batman lover, but this is not meant for small kids, there's some strong language, blood and killing, bottom line, I think its the best batman cartoon depiction since the animated series, buy this movie.
