The animation is lazy and rushed, the story is just a carbon copy of the comic (in all the bad ways) and there is completely no reason for the "R" rating. Even the voice acting was phoned in.
Don't bother wasting you time with this one. Just read the comic or watch "Under the Red Hood" it's their better animated film.
