Review of Batman: The Killing Joke (2016) by Andrew J — 30 Jul 2016
The only real downfall to the movie was the beginning segment which had us shadowing.
Batgirl and not so much of Batman. On the plus side we are given a backstage pass which gave us an inner peek of the human side of both Batgirl and Barbra. But at a cost to not really understanding Batman and his obsessive connection with Joker. I'm not saying the beginning story wasn't necessary but it almost needed a touch of Guy Ritchie or Quentin Tarantino where you could jump from one.
View point to another and include each of the.
Characters. The batfan inside of me really does want to point out that this story really.
Was supposed to be about The Joker and Batman. To be clear everyone in the original.
Story are victims. But Batman and Joker are a tragic pair, a tragic hero and a successful villain. What goes on in Batman's head? In the movie we get nothing from his side other than a few images. He witnessed Grayson's parents murdered, Joker almost killing Grayson. We also have Jason Todd's origin and things Batman had to endure like that time Jason might of killed a man as Robin and pushed a man off of a building or where Joker kills Jason. Barbra's suffering was a tally to Batman's suffering because this really is his story. It's about Batman.
