The material that was adapted from thw actual graphic novel is fine. Often animated beautifully, but most times the animation is so Saturday morning cartoon and lackluster it's jarring. At least in the dark knight returns we hot a truly solid adaptation and we'll working story.

Here we get a completely useless and borderline offensive prologue to open an already brilliant story. Like wiping shit on a brick of gold. Sad and dissapointed with this mess.
