Review of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 (2013) by Mattias K — 17 Jan 2013
The second part and the continuity of "The Dark Knight Returns". Like the first part it holds very true to its source material, which is a good thing. But what the movies don't have is the inner dialog that is pivotal in the writings of Frank Miller (voice overs were used in both the live action renderings Sin City and 300) which is a damn shame, the lack of it in part two is more evident and missed than in part one.
For people that have not read the comic book it will be easy to see that both the live action movies made by Nolan "The Dark Knight" and especially "The Dark Knight Rises" borrow heavily from this comic book.
Highly recommended if only for the sheer purpose to see the brawl between Batman and Superman.
