Review of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 (2013) by Jean-Olivier G — 12 Aug 2014
As I said I couldn't wait for part II. it was necessary and amazing. A continuation but really coudl stand on its own as the previous story pretty much ran up. In additon to awakening the Joker when Batman came back in the last film, and he gets out to tell his side of the story and kill everyone in the process.
The government tries to stop Batman, including the governments biggest statist stooge, Superman. He's even got an assign f'n Eagle. But Batman saves us from the Communists, and defeates Superman with the help of a viglantly who we know to be the Green Arrow.
Normally I'm not huge into superhero stories that cross boarders (I feel Superman and Batman are both good, but their worlds don't need to colide) but this one works. And although Superman is a tool of the government, he may end up surprising you.
Another highly recommended film.
