The Dark Knight Returns offers a refreshing and rejuvenated look at the lore of the winged crusader which is a welcomed necessity.
The artwork is nicely done but often times feels really heavy and bulky. Not a debilitating fact by any means, but instead, a slight drawback.
The voice work is very well done from top to bottom, and Part I does what any film should that is broken up into pieces...
TDK: Returns leaves you wanting more. It offers a great ride, but also promises a better one next time around.
