The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 is a brilliant adaptation of the popular comic book version. It is sufficiently dark and pretty grown up for an animated movie. The story has been meticulously put together, leaving behind anything cheesy which is common in these movies which usually cater to the younger crowds.
The ending leaves you eagerly anticipating Part 2 of what is sure to be a mind blowing finish to this spectacular series. Nolan, I hope you're listening.
