Batman is a mad man. No movies to date have explored the real darkness or obsession of Bruce Wayne until this one. True to the graphic novel (so far) we see that Bruce isn't afraid to embrace madness while meting.
So many Batman films have been superfluous explorations of the insanity beneath Batman's adversaries, this film finally hones in on Batman's psyche - he is less avenger and more punisher, less hero and more anti-hero.
