Review of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 (2012) by Abdulmalik A — 30 Jan 2013

Dear god this movie is amazing, the art, the voice acting, the pacing, and the plot to quite possibly the best batman comic ever? The cinematic style of the comic book translates perfectly to this movie, but quite surprisingly he movie excels far beyond the original comic book, most notably in the "news reel" segments, which seemed to break the flow of the original comic, now are seamlessly woven into the movie.

This is probably the best animated batman feature, if not a contender for best batman film ever made. No complaints, I can't find a single flaw in this film.
