Review of Batman Returns (1992) by Lee A — 12 Apr 2014
This is my favourite of the pre Nolan Batman films by far. Ok no Joker but I loved Danny DeVito as the Penguin as he brought menace and conviction to the role. Michelle Pfeiffer was decent as Catwoman but I felt Michael Keaton grew into his role much better as Batman in this film and was much more believable.
The story was dark which like the 1989 film suited Tim Burtons style really well. Stands up really well still today and one I do like to watch at the very least twice a year.
