Review of Batman Returns (1992) by Vadim D — 23 May 2014
While, the first Batman was a decent start by Burton, it is here that it finally feels like he is in his own element. This is as Burtonesque as pictures get, and without a doubt he put his own stamp on the franchise.
As we the previous film, the villains again are the standouts, and perhaps are what make this film so magical. Pfeiffer delivers the most memorable character of them all as Catwoman, but DeVito's Penguin and Christopher Walken are not far behind.
Just the right amount of camp and mythos make this a great Batman film.
