Tim Burton returns to the character of Batman with elements that make it slightly better than the predecessor, including a more compelling plot, more flawless casting and a more prominent Batman character, though still upstaged by his arch nemesis and by the wonderfully seductive Michelle Pfeiffer as the Cat Woman.
The dark eerie setting of Gotham City in the meantime is a masterpiece of art direction and a perfect background to the story.
