Review of Batman Returns (1992) by President P — 12 Apr 2013
Not bad, it's not better than its predecessor, but it gets the job down. Batman Returns doesn't follow the source material, opting to do its own thing, which isn't to bad, but just seems off most of the film.
DeVito's character at times is good, but mostly comes off as just to strange to really appreciate. Pfeiffer isn't the best Catwoman of all time, yet does a great job on screen. Keaton continues to do well from the last film, but can't save the film.
The story is straight forward but is more strange than dark which at times is unnecessary. Overall, Batman Returns is not bad, it just went in the wrong direction.
