Review of Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman (2003) by Freedom W — 16 Jul 2012
It's weird. Despite coming out years after the movie that defines the Animated Series, "Mystery of the Batwoman" sports animation that, short of the vibrant colors technology easily made available in 2003, looks like it came out a few years before "Mask of the Phantasm." And where "SubZero" had wholesome, goodie-two shoes Robin, "Mystery of the Batwoman" has super annoying Tim Drake. Strike two. And, uh, spoiler alert? Batgirl's at college, or something, and has a crush on Bruce. It's weird. Every relationship Bruce has in this is just...weird. The movie, despite boring me for the first half, catches my interest when they actually begin to unravel the mystery. "Mystery of the Batwoman" for die-hard fans of Batman and the Animated Series only.
Did I mention it's just kinda...weird?
