Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Jack M — 26 Mar 2010
Not only is Batman: Mask of the Phantasm the best out of all the Batman films, but one of the most underrated movies of all time. This dark and epic film was both gripping and thrilling, with a story that is detailed and captivating. The characters are intriguing and are developed brilliantly. Kevin Conroy, in my opinion, is and will always be the best batman. Same goes with Mark Hamill as The Joker; Both of there voices will stand the test of time and will never be matched. Furthermore, the animation of the film propels it as a stand out from other classic animated film.
Now I know what your thinking, "How could this be better then Batman (1989), or The Dark Knight?" Well, to put it bluntly, there's simply nothing wrong with it. There's nothing to nit pick or complain about. The latter two on the other hand, great films they may be, I could nit pick them to death (Joker killing batman parents, Christian Bales voice, etc). In conclusion, this is a great film and one of my favourites, and should be mandatory for all batman fans to own.
PS: The Phantasm is also pretty awesome.
