Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Ray S — 29 Jul 2008
Here is a surprisingly mature feature-length installment of the animated series. Though not exactly an origins story like Nolan's "Batman Begins," "Phantasm" does explore that side of Bruce Wayne--his underlying desire to live a normal, happy life--that only got full treatment over a decade afterward.
