Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Sol H — 21 Jan 2009
I always thought that the animation on the WB animated BATMAN series was top-notch (the same team of animators later worked on the SUPERMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE animated series). This film came out the same year that Tim Burton's angst-driven BATMAN RETURNS.
Its actually a better realization of the Batman mythology than Burton's film. It is more violent than the cartoon, so parents should keep that in mind.
