Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Wes D — 10 May 2009
It may be hard to believe, but the animated version of the dark knight might arguably be the most definitive incarnation ever to be conceived, even compared to the recent live-action counterpart. Anyone who hasn't followed the series is in for a surprise, with its variety of moral themes and heavy characterization, all cleverly crafted together as a complete, tightly paced epic.
It's so good; it seems to end almost too soon within its seventy-six minute run.
