Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Adam D — 13 Aug 2009
I'm probably going to have to avoid a number of objects thrown from moving vehicles for the next few days, just as I did when I admitted to hating "Halloween" with a fiery passion, but I consider it my duty to put my life on the line once again (See how I'm being pretentious?) "Mask of the Phantasm" is in fact not nearly as great as 88% of the people who have seen it would have you believe.
While somewhat deeper then many cartoons of the 90's, it's not really all that interesting, nor are the characters who, other then the Joker, offer very little in the way of personality. So, all that's left is the action, which while not fantastic is a good amount better then passable.
These elements come together creating a large lump of blandness and mediocrity. Enjoy Bat fans!
