Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Alec B — 17 Oct 2009

I was a huge fan of the Batman animated series when I was growing up and this film is essentially a big screen version of that show. I liked this film a lot about 12 years ago, and revisiting it I think it has some staying power, but it all lies in the animation.

The animated show and this film have a wonderful art deco design style that is really quiet remarkable. The story is not developed as well as it could have been, but for kids it works. Also, you have to love Mark Hamil's joker voice .

. . it really is one of the better interpretations of the character.
