Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Kristen S — 26 Oct 2009
Besides perhaps the dark knight and batman returns, this has got to be the best representation of batman in a feature film. not surprising considering 'mask of the phantasm' is the culmination of efforts from the creative team behind 'batman: the animated series,' which, as any fan will tell you is the greatest iteration of the batuniverse outside of the comics (maybe even including them).
kevin conroy and mark hamill solidify their legacy as the definitive batman and joker, respectively. the only slight downside of the film is its relentless grimness. batman has rarely ever been so moody.
