Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Tomas T — 25 Apr 2010
One of the more darker and better interpretations of the Batman in my books. The animation is top notch with bit older style that suits the movie perfectly. On par with the animation is definitely the voice actors and the character design.
E.g. I have never seen a more hillarious adaptation of The Joker than in Mask of Phantasm, even if it dangles on a very thin rope of being crazy funny or just crazy. Batman is for once portrayed just right, not too cool or invincible.
Also the unexpected villain brings its own entertaining aspect to the movie.
