Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Chris G — 23 Sep 2010
I recently re-watched Batman Mask of the Phantasm because I remember loving it so much years ago. I can say that with out any doubt, if someone walked up to me and asked what my favorite Batman movie was, I would answer Mask of the Phantasm.
The dialogue, plot, characters, action, everything is what a Batman movie should be. It's dark enough for adults, yet has a lot of material so kids can have fun too. The Phantasm revelation at the end isn't that surprising at all, but packs great punch none-the-less.
The closest thing to perfection the Batman films have reached, and I am including Nolan's take on the series in this statement. Loved it!
