Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Dann M — 06 Jun 2012
Batman: The Animated Series makes the leap to the big screen with the full-length feature, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. In the film, Bruce Wayne's former fiancee returns to Gotham amidst a new crime wave that's targeting a syndicate that her father belongs to.
A number of talented voice actors contribute to the film, including Kevin Conroy, Dana Delany, and Mark Hamill. Unfortunately, the animation and the score aren't up to cinematic standards. The story is also poorly paced and uneven.
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is a substandard animated film that isn't worthy of the big screen treatment.
