Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Adam K — 19 Jul 2012
I was a huge fan of the animated series as a kid, admiring its old fashioned style partnered with its use of gritty crime stories that were both enticing and thought provoking. This was definitely advanced and risky for a product aimed mainly at younger audiences.
Its not the strongest result that it could have produced, but I will give it credit for doing what it does well. I also have a humorous pleasure in watching this due to a scene in which the Joker references his disdain to having meatloaf for dinner (watch the film and you will know what I am talking about).
