Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Stefan G — 10 Nov 2012
I don't know how to say it, but I'm going to call it. This is the best Batman movie ever made, despite it only being 70 minutes long. Why? This movie doesn't focus on flashy effects. It's raw, and with just as good an effect.
For me, this is the best incarnation of Bruce Wayne and the other characters, and voice and character. Best of all, it tells the story, and pieces it together without the need to stretch it out for very long.
It may be short, but it's quite effective at not only staying loyal to the source material, but also legitimately adding to it as well.
