Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Connor B — 08 Feb 2010
Say what you will about Tim Burton's "Batman" and Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight," but "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" and the corresponding animated series is hands down the best interpretation of the Batman franchise.
With a gripping plot, gritty yet age-appropriate tone, multi-dimensional characters, powerful score, and action packed fight scenes, this movie is head and shoulders above all else. Few movies deserve a perfect critical score, but this is one them.
