Review of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) by Ifiok O — 10 Sep 2010
The most under-looked Batman movie released, it deserves much more recognition now than it did when it was initially released. Personally, I consider this particular Batman story much more engaging than any of the live-action movies from the 1990s, and maybe even more so than the first Tim Burton movie.
The art design was very beautiful, the musical score is atmospheric, and who could forget the voices of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and Joker respectively? The movie is like the graphic novel I wish I could have written, and it's highly recommended for the serious Batman fan.
