If you are not a fan of Batman the animated series you may not enjoy this. The animation varies because 6 different animators tell 6 stories but there is a continuous flow to them. They actually introduce characters that appear in the new movie and use Kevin Conroy's (Batman: the animated series) voice as a connective tissue between the different animators.
It is visually stunning and worth the watch (especially stories 2 and 6).
