Review of Batman: Gotham Knight (2008) by Mark T — 25 Dec 2008
It's a 3 star movie but it's a 4 star BluRay Disc.
Let me explain that. Six different stories, six different art styles but out of the six stories only three of them are above average in story telling. I was most impressed with "Have I Got A Story For You" and "Deadshot". working through the pain was interesting as it tapped into the eastern mystician and the lengths Bruce Wayne has gone to to make himself more than a Man.
The other three were auto-pilot Batman stories which we've seen done in nearly every media numerous times over.
The fourth star comes from the extras on the BluRay disc. Though they're all presented in standard definition 480p as well as a good sneek peak at the latest Wonder Woman animated movie you get four episodes of Batman The Animated Series.
The transfer on these isn't the best and reflects the technology of the time but since the main feature has a skimpy 76 minute running time they're a most welcome edition.
So, 3 star movie. 4 star BluRay disc.
