Review of Batman: Gotham Knight (2008) by Simeon M — 25 Sep 2009
Um... it was interesting.
A bunch of Batman shorts. Some more interesting, and definitely more Batman-esk than others. I heard a rumor that it was supposed to cover the time between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight... and I didn't feel like it did any of that really. More like the result of some Japanese directors who were inspired by "The Batman" cartoon series and made a movie. (two characters from that show, detectives Yin and Ethan, are featured here). It's worth watching if you're a hardcore fan, but honestly, "The Animated Series" or "The Batman" tv shows are better. Most of the Japanese animation of Batman just threw me off. Most anime doesn't bother me but Anime Batman is just hard for me to take seriously.
