Review of Batman: Gotham Knight (2008) by Peter F — 13 Jun 2010
Too scattershot in its storytelling to really be enjoyable; in fact, some of the segments are nigh unwatchable because of either bad animation, limp voice acting, or both. It bears no resemblance to the DC Animated Universe that spawned it, and while it was a bold and invigorating experiment to try the Caped Crusader in an anime venue, it proves that Batman is and will always be a distinctly American hero.
For my money, though, Kevin Conroy is still the best Batman around.
