Review of Batman: Gotham Knight (2008) by James S — 14 Aug 2010
I didn't really care for the animation style in this movie and must of the stories were honestly pretty dull for a Batman movie. "Have I Got A Story For You", "Dead Shot", and "Field Test" were the best out of the 6 and "Working Through The Pain" was the worst even though it was a story that featured Scarecrow AND Killer Croc.
Whenever I hear Batman's voice I always compare it to Conroy's. He just does the best Batman for some reason, I don't know what it is. None of the other voices really stood out to me all.
If you're looking for something to bridge the gap between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT (and honestly do we really need something to? I know I didn't.) then this does a decent job if you like this kind of animation. I don't and I was mostly bored after the first story so I would say skip it unless you're a hardcore Batman fan.
"Yo, wait a minute. Batman never cut nobody's head off. Everybody knows he don't ever kill nobody.".
"I'm making it more colorful, yo".
