Review of Batman: Gotham Knight (2008) by Gabriel C — 18 Jul 2012
I'd be lying instantly if I started off by saying, "Batman: Gotham Knight is a movie...." because in fact, Batman: Gotham Knight is not a movie at all, but rather a collection of six short films based on the Batman franchise, their ideas varying in artistic perspective.
While the first short film is a complete turn-off, a 15-20 minute animation that focuses on a group of ghetto kids who overuse the slang terms "yo" and "man" in their language, the remaining films range from decent to amazing, but I probably would have been more entertained if the entire 1 hour and 16 minutes had been occupied by the fourth animated short, "In Darkness Dwells".
If after this review you have no interest in seeing it, watch Batman: Gotham Knight for "In Darkness Dwells". You'll thank me after you do.
