Review of Batman Forever (1995) by Yorky G — 07 Aug 2012
The beginning of something terrible that would eventually give the world Batman & Robin *shudders*.
Forever isn't terrible in fact is occasionally good, notably Jim carry's performance of 'The Riddler' and a few of the action set pieces are quite good. Val Kilmar is the only other decent portrayal and makes for a decent Batman and Bruce Wayne. But that's were it stops, the story is poor, the set designs are tacky - and how that guy got the acting job to playing the trapped policeman in the vault at the start is beyond me.
The film seems to scream camp and gay, the unnecessary arse shots of Batman getting into the costume are strange and completely unneeded.
Despite all the tackyness, the bad plot and well the rest Forever isn't completely devoid of fun and is a film to watch when there really really isn't anything to do.
