'' Riddle me this, riddle me that, who's afraid of the big, black bat? ''.

Batman must battle Two-Face and The Riddler with help of an amourous psychologist and a young circus acrobat who becomes his sidekick, Robin.

Val Kilmer: Batman / Bruce Wayne.

Tommy Lee Jones: Two-Face / Harvey Dent.

Jim Carrey: Riddler / Dr. Edward Nygma.

Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever is colourful, cartoonish and feels like a comic book but there's something very camp lying in there somehow.

Loved it when I was younger but I didn't know any better, this gaudish offering from Joel shows what a maverick it is however it's not a total loss thanks to it's brave imagery in part and it's star power in the form of Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey and Nicole Kidman.

Val Kilmer plays a troubled Bruce Wayne hanuted by the past, and Nicole plays a Doctor type figure who falls for him, for the Dark Avenger and has to choose between the two men without realising the truth of it all.

Granted we have two psycho villains beautifully played by Tommy & Jim which can't be faulted in the laugh stacks.

BF on a whole has lost it's dark origins which Burton kindly established in the first two superior predecessors.

Granted it's fun and has a comic book feel to it with a cool Batmobile and gadjets that ooze coolness. I especially loved the music and the glow in the dark battle Robin has, that was pretty original.

All in all it's a fun Blockbuster Comic Filck best enjoyed when seen and taken not too seriously. Especially when you watch Joel's follow up Batman & Robin this BF is him doing the job properly while the latter...he killed the franchise dead.

A good Batman, watch out for the soothing Seal song on the Credits.
