Review of Batman Beyond: The Movie (1999) by Brad B — 14 Apr 2012

If you told me you were going to do a futuristic Batman show and Bruce Wayne wasn't going to be Batman plus all of the great rogue gallery of villains that make Batman so great aren't really going to be in it, I would say that would suck that was until I saw Batman Beyond.

Terry Mcginnis is a great Batman and lets be honest it helps that he has Bruce Wayne (Kevin Conroy) by his side! The new villains aren't up to par with the original ones, but they do a good Job finding ways to push this new Dark Knight to his limits.

While this is in no way shape or form better than the original animated series it is a good continuation of that story while at the same time being a great new chapter in the Batman universe! (It is important to note that this is a rating for the first few episodes of Batman Beyond season 1 seeing as how that is all the so called Batman Beyond "movie" is, do your self a favor and instead of buying this movie just go ahead and pick up season 1 on DVD because it's well worth it!).
